In many cultures feathers are seen as powerful objects or sacred gifts from the divine, a show of force from the heavens, that show up when you are going through a transition in your life or as a message from a loved one that has died. Celtic symbolism of feathers were abundance, purity, faith, strength. Print size 6″ x 4″ signed by the artist and ready for framing. Cyanotype printing is one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography. The distinctive feature of the print is its shade of cyan blue, which gives us the word blueprint. The process involves brushing on cyanotype sensitiser onto watercolour paper, arranging the feathers and exposing to ultraviolet light,  then washing in water to fix the image. Magic!
