I am based in Killarney a location renowned for the beauty of its scenery. In 2002 when my daughters had finished college and had flown the nest I took early retirement from my work as a science teacher. I was then able to spend much of my time oudoors in the neighbouring National Park and indulge in my passion for painting. Soon I was invited to have a solo exhibition in a nearby gallery and a new career was born. I love the feeling of peace and tranquility and oneness with nature that comes from just being in a beautiful natural environment. I try and recreate and enhance  that feeling in my painting so that when you hang it in your living space you will share that same joy and contentment.

I made myself a keyring from one of my favourite of the pre decimal Irish types of coins (the half crown) in 2022 and from there it began. Others asked me to make key rings from coins that they like and I started to make keyrings as a hobby. I started making pieces of jewellery with coins and continue to try and think of different ways to create with vintage coins to give them new life and keep part of our history alive. In 2024 I started working with silver and copper clay. All of my hand made fine silver jewellery is made with 999 fine silver clay. I also use copper clay to sculpt some of the copper pieces. Both types of clay are 100% recycled material. I then started making handmade jewellery using recycled 925 silver and copper and this is my main form of creating new pieces now. I am really enjoying the learning journey!

Saili Mo - The Willow Witch Creating something with my own hands, with natural materials is what I love. Weaving baskets with willow that I have grown myself, cared for and turned into a pliable material is a magical process, hence the name Willow Witch. My baskets are handmade with care, strong and durable and at the end of their long life they are fully degradable. Knitting is something I seem to have done all my life. I like to make a variety of articles, small enough to be made in a few days, or in between the basketry. Multi-colour yarns are my favourite, seeing the colour change as you create is also……. a little bit of magic…… I make my craft in North Co. Galway.
