I am fascinated by Butterflies and I love making beaded jewellery and with these earrings I got to do two things that I love to make these beautiful earrings. Butterflies are seen to be a symbol of rebirth and new beginnings and what’s not to like about that. The freedom of flight and hope.
The Huichol or Wixárika are an indigenous people of Mexico and the United States living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango, as well as in the United States in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas and like the Native American Indians they revered nature and made pots and jewellery from a variety of materials. It is a lovely legacy to have their beading remembered and used.

Made by Michelle is delighted to have been accepted onto the Crafting Europe Business Course 2022 which is jointly run in Ireland by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and TUS (Technological University of the Shannon). There were a lot of applications for this course and there were only 25 places. I hope you like my pieces and I would love you to contact me if you have any questions or, if you would like something custom made. My aim is for whomever is wearing the piece(s) to love the colour and texture and to feel special and unique. I am a Reiki & Seichem Master and I love crystals and natural semi-precious stones.
