The Woolly Drawer

Learn a new craft and go home with your very own felted painting, with our amazing new Felting Workshop!!

Enjoy an hour and a half of relaxing, felting fun in our lovely garden. You will join a small group of like minded craft-enthusiasts for this lesson, so individual attention and guidance is guaranteed. Maximum group size will be 9 people. All materials are included along with tea/coffee and a treat!

You will learn a skill that will enable you to make all sorts of paintings using just felt, wool and a needle! Create landscapes, pet portraits, abstract art, or whatever you can imagine…the possibilities are truly endless!

This is a really fun activity to do either on your own, with a group of friends or family, or maybe to surprise a loved one with (…a unique gift that keeps on giving!).

*This class is suitable for teenagers and adults, but unfortunately not for children, as we use sharp needles in the felt-sculpting process. If it happens to be raining, the class will still go ahead, but we’ll be indoors instead of in the garden. If you have any other queries please feel free to get in touch.

This is the only 3D lighthouse in a mini porcelain bowl. That was handcrafted using the Irish Heritage wool and merino fiber. This piece can also be used as a pincushion. This lighthouse represents the Hook lighthouse here in Ireland. Which is the oldest working lighthouse in the world. A one of a kind piece. That makes it a collectable piece. This little peanut character is an original piece of art. Handmade by the process of needle felting with Irish wool. The arms and legs are bendable. This is not a toy. The hat is made with a shell from a nut that grows on the trees here in Ireland. Who are you nuts about? Or do you just love peanut?

This charming chicken was made with 100% Irish wool and merino fiber. The wings has silk and hand stitching on it for added detail. This chicken was made by the process of needle felting. The beautiful tail feathers was made with lamb locks. The eyes are glass eyes that were glued in. This is a decorative piece of art and not a toy. Do you know a person who loves chickens or raises them? What a lovely original handmade piece for the chicken , hen lover.

Which I use a barbed needle and jab it hundred of times to create. She would make a wonderful gift for Valentines. An original piece of art and not a toy. I showed a picture of her beary best friend Gracie who is also available.

This hedgehog was made with 100% Irish wool that was sourced from the only two working mills here in Ireland. They are made by the process of needle felting. Which is a barbed needle that you have to stab the wool together. Which is a process that takes many hours and dedication. This hedgehog will be a loving original gift for valentines.
