All our blankets are made using a special combination of fabrics. We use 4 layers to achieve the brilliant qualities you have come to know and love. Such as a hidden waterproof layer that serves 4 functions.
- It makes it completely waterproof, preventing rain and water from reaching the user, keeping them warm and dry
- It acts as an insulation layer, keeping all the heat in, preventing any heat escaping through the fabric
- Also acting as a wind barrier, blocking any draughts in the fabric
- As an internal layer, it doesn’t interfere with the visual appearance of the blanket, allowing us to use fun, friendly and fashionable fabrics and patterns. No boring grey at GaryB unless that what you ask for.
All our blankets are guaranteed not to fall off owing to the unique Loop strap, to use with the Lap belt. They are fully fitted and will not get caught under the wheels or drag on the ground.

At GaryB we promise to give you a product that you will love, that makes you feel fabulous, that exceeds your expectations and gives you value for money with a product that will stand the test of time from daily use and repeated washing and drying. If however you are not totally happy with your GaryB, we are happy for you to return your product within 30 days. It must be Unused, Unworn and in Original condition with Swing tags attached . Once your return is received and inspected we will notify you of the approval or rejection. If the return is approved then your refund will be refunded via this website to the original method of payment. Please allow 10 days to process the refund. To return your product for refund you will be responsible for paying your own Shipping Costs. Shipping Costs are Non Refundable.

We believe practical products should also reflect the personality of the person wearing them. That’s why we create thoughtfully designed wheelchair accessories that combine warmth, protection and ease of use with bright colours, fun patterns and age-appropriate choices.

Our Story
GaryB began with Gary, my gorgeous son and our first child.
Born prematurely at just 27 weeks, Gary spent his first six months in hospital, facing many complications. He lived with profound global developmental delay, multiple disabilities and chronic lung disease, which left him particularly vulnerable to chest infections.
As his mum, I knew how difficult it was to keep him warm, dry and comfortable outdoors. Finding suitable wheelchair accessories was a constant challenge. I wanted products that worked well, made daily life easier and gave Gary the colour, style and choice he deserved.
So I began making them myself.
What started with a desire to keep my own son cosy grew into GaryB Wheelchair Accessories—an Irish business shaped by experience, through insight that has been lived, not learned.
Very sadly, Gary died in 2016, aged just 16, following a short illness. He filled those years with love, adventure and wonderful experiences, including a cruise aboard Ovation of the Seas shortly before he died.
Gary is desperately missed, but he remains at the heart of everything I make. His legacy lives on in the warmth and comfort our products bring to other wheelchair users and their families. I am so proud that something inspired by my love for him continues to help others.

From that first GaryB blanket, our range has grown to include wheelchair blankets, buggy blankets for taller children, super-absorbent dribble bibs, long-arm mittens and backless hoodies.
I personally design and handmake our products in Ireland, drawing on my experience of the everyday challenges faced by wheelchair users, parents and carers.
Our blankets slip over the feet to keep feet, legs and the backs of the legs warm and dry. Waterproof, windproof and secure, they stay in place without trailing into the wheels. With six generous sizes and a wide choice of colours and patterns, there is something to suit young children through to adults.
Our absorbent bibs help protect clothing and reduce the need for frequent changes, while our mittens and backless hoodies offer practical comfort and easier dressing.
Across the range, the aim is the same: durable, easy-care products that make daily routines easier while allowing personality to shine through.
