Meath-based Mum of two, with a passion for nature, and making and sharing my art and crafts. I began to knit and crochet at the age of 6, learning from my mother – my teacher and inspiration. A professional seamstress, my Mum was really creative, knitting, crochet, painting, cardboard furniture… yes that’s a thing! When I was around 15 years old, we discovered polymer clay while in a craft shop and gave that a go. I really loved all the possibilities it offered for jewellery. We got ourselves some material, and a book for techniques and got started. I came to Ireland, had my first child and found myself knitting little hats, tops, booties for her, with friends and family encouraging me to make them for a wider audience. I did this for a little while, until my Mum was diagnosed, and then I stopped. During lockdown I started it again as I had more time and felt closer to my Mum that way. I’m inspired each and every day by the world around me, colours, textures and people. Most of all, I love to share my inspiration with others; be it creating for them or teaching my craft!
