Moonstone is part of the Feldspar group of minerals that displays a pearl like sheen. During formation, the minerals separate into alternating layers. When light falls between these thin layers it is scattered producing the phenomenon called adularescence, which is the light that appears to float across the gem. Moonstone cultivates compassion and empathy. It helps us to tap into our intuition and enhances thinking. Known to activate the creative and intuitive power of feminine energy.
