My Bestseller teacher gifts are handcrafted with air dry clay and these little apples are bound to bring a smile to your teachers face. A lovely handmade keepsake that the teacher can display anywhere. It measures 3 inches without the string. It comes with string and random coloured beads. Each piece is hand painted and sanded and made with love. I can add the Childs name at the bottom in small font if thats an option you’d like. See my other teacher gift options if this is not exactly what you had in mind.
The Clay Conifer was born out of a need I identified years ago for handmade high quality, personalisable but affordable gifts for teachers. I ended up making my own gifts for my childrens teachers using air dry clay and the reception they got was quite special.
To this day, 7 lears later, my handmade clay teacher decorations are one of my bestsellers. you will not be disappointed by the quality of my work AND best of all your Childs teacher will have something to remember your child by and treasure for years to come.
Teachers are so used to receiving b0xes of chocolates, bottles of wine and flowers and or cupcakes – none of which last longer than a few days. However, for the same price as these, why not gift them a beautiful handmade clay gift , that’s thoughtful and something they can display proudly for years to come.
I’ve always had 5 star reviews for these pieces and I am so very proud of them.
The process: I ‘cut’ an apple shape from rolled wet clay, then using small stamps (either individually or pre made), I use ink to stamp the design onto the damp clay. Each piece then takes 2-4 days to dry thoroughly. Once dried, I sand twice, once to remove any large bumps or lumps and to soften the edges, then again, to clean up any ink bleeds and even out the surface of the piece. Once that’s done, I paint on colour. When dried, I add a final spritz of matt/gloss varnish to ‘set’ the ink and paint and I like adding a final sparkle finish. Finally, I thread each piece using natural jute string and random coloured wooden beads before packaging for you.
For an additional small fee there is an option to add ‘ó.... (insert childs name) ‘ in a smaller font at the bottom of the piece you choose.

I make each item from scratch and as such, there is a lot of time involved in each piece. Once the order is placed I generally get to work on them within 12 hours so cancellations are not always possible. I will not accept exchanges or returns on personalised items as I cannot re sell. However, in the case where your order might arrive broken or you aren't satisfied, please do reach out to me and I will endeavour to get another out to you ASAP.
I’m a busy Mam of two living in the beautiful Hill of Down, Co Meath next to the Royal Canal Greenway so when I'm not working you'll find me there walking my lovely dogs. I'm a social care worker by profession and I work with youth in mainstream residential care. However, I have always been a creative soul too so my clay work is how I like to explore that . My goal is to be your ‘go to’ business to shop for quality handcrafted clay gifts for all occasions.
