Polished Baltic Amber Necklace - Handmade
♡Properties♡
Not only is amber beautiful in appearance, but it also has great healing properties which have positive effects on the mind and body.
Amber emits negative ions, so it is a natural air ionizer. To maintain health and well-being, the ratio of positive to negative ions should be 5 to 4, however nowadays, due to the deterioration of air quality caused by environmental pollution this is not the case.
The proximity of high-voltage networks or household electrical appliances such as electric cookers, washing machines, televisions, creates a risk of accumulating too much positive ions, which makes our surroundings unnatural, which may result in headaches or deterioration of mood.
Nowadays, amber is recommended by supporters of alternative medicine, who claim that it stimulates the nervous system, regulates the heart, kidneys and intestines, has anti-inflammatory and antitoxic properties. Wearing amber ornaments, especially necklaces, is recommended in diseases of the thyroid gland, and help in easing migraines. Wearing amber near the feet may also help with foot and joint pain.
Crystals are an alternative method of healing and should not replace prescription medicine but instead could be used in congestion with regular healing.

Design has always been my passion. It wasn’t until I discovered bog oak that my passions grew into something more. I have always loved to create and being one with nature, Bog Oak was just the outlet I needed to turn that love of design into a business. Bog Oak is a unique natural material which is somewhere between 4000 and 5000 years old. It is rich in history and holds a great connection to the earth. Creating sculptures using bog oak allows me to deepen my connection with nature and brings me closer to my home – Ireland. Each piece of wood is chosen carefully and thoroughly, and I do my best not to waste a single piece. A lot of the Bog Oak that can be found in the boglands is left untouched and sometimes even disposed of. However, through my work I give it a new lease of life. Like the oak itself, each piece that I carve (whether it is jewellery or a sculpture) reflects its unique shape and maintains its ingenuity. My projects are created with passion and love for design, I put emphasis on accuracy and uniqueness, because precision is more important that quantity. The heritage and history of the Bog Oak is close to my heart and it brings me such joy to see it being appreciated by other like minded individuals. ♡
