My name is Max, I’m a rescue German Shepherd and this is my story.
Max’s Happy Ever After
Back in May 2020, Limerick Animal Welfare with assistance of local Gardai, rescued me form a property in Limerick.
I was left in a backyard, surrounded by nothing but my own faeces, out there 24/7 in the freezing cold, in the wind and rain, and the heat of the sun. No shelter, no food or water for weeks, maybe months. No human affection or love.
I weighted only 18 kg, most of my hair has fallen out and my skin was covered with sores. I had no muscles on my body, there was nothing but bones.
After few months of recuperation, I was getting my strength back and was ready to be adopted.
My pawrents closely followed my story on Limerick Animal Welfare Facebook page and really wanted to meet me.
Once the lockdown was lifted in July, my mum & dad were allowed to come in and meet me. All went well, they came back a few days later with my sister Roxy for a meet and greet. We got on just fine and I went to my forever home that day.
Since July I have made great strides in my recovery. I have put on 20 kg and my coat has grown back to it’s full length. And they tell me, even my behavior is getting better.
I have a great appetite but unfortunately not all the food and treats are good for my sensitive stomach.
My pawrents did a lot of research and found these healthy dog treats which are now available on our online store.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
