Swarm Catcher & Transport Box

Our swarm boxes are a must-have for any beekeeper and make for an excellent gift. Expertly made in Carndonagh, these brightly colored and extremely light boxes are crafted using a very old Irish design that allows you to easily and securely capture a swarm anytime, anywhere.

We can even make these boxes bespoke to your needs, should you desire a special color or other customizations.

This unique design, weighing only 2.5 kg, features a box and a base. The base has two sides, one for catching the swarm and allowing the bees to enter freely, and the other for safe and secure transport. After the bees have settled, simply lift the top box, flip the base over, and lock it securely with a latch to keep the bees safely contained. This design also allows you to weigh your swarm for greater precision in handling.

When you arrive at the new location, remove the base and gently shake the bees into their new forever home. This box is perfect for when you’re out and about and receive a call about a swarm in need of rescue.
