Set of three decorative Irish Ash vessels with Iroko wood rim
I turned this set of three vessels using Irish Ash wood here in Co. Tipperary, Ireland.
With this set of vessels I combined the Ash vessel with a decorative Iroko wood rim. The different woods gives the set an attractive and interesting quality.
This set is ideally suited as a decorative accessory set.
The wood grain has been enhanced with Danish oil initally and then finished with a hard-wearing clear gloss lacquer.

I work with locally sourced logs and enjoy bringing a piece from raw timber through to a finished piece. My preference is to let the grain, shape, and imperfections of the wood guide each piece.

By focusing on native species, I capture the specific character of the Irish seasons in every grain.
