I turned this piece by hand using Sycamore wood which I sourced locally and responsibly here in Co. Tipperary, Ireland. This piece has a carved base with four feet and an upper rim detail. The bowl has a very natural form and feel, with the distinctive growth rigs adding to a natural look. The bowl can be used as a decorative or indeed as a functional piece.

I work with locally sourced logs and enjoy bringing a piece from raw timber through to a finished piece. My preference is to let the grain, shape, and imperfections of the wood guide each piece.
