I don’t do portraits and very seldom paint people in my landscapes but this was subtle and fits in with the painting in the distance without taking it over. I was super delighted with how it came out and the sky adds a nice beauty to the scene.

It was a new experience to create the brown churning water and I tried to get as much motion and energy into this painting to try and portray that.
