I know how difficult it can be to find a meaningful gift for a friend of relative on occasions such as Engagement, Weddings, New Baby, Milestone Birthdays (and lots lots more) which is why I decided to develop my unique personalised gift range. Alphabet Jigsaws

Since 1997 we have been designing and selling original handcrafted wooden jigsaw puzzles for children of all ages. Our wooden jigsaw puzzles are designed to encourage dexterity and logic and although educational, the emphasis has always been on making the puzzles fun! Designed in Ireland, all of our jigsaw puzzles are cut from sustainably sourced wood and painted by hand in dazzling colours, using non-toxic acrylic paints, like small works of art!  Each jigsaw comes beautifully presented in a recycled cardboard box with a drawstring cotton bag included for storage after play.

Hi, I’m Aurore. I’m from Le Puy-en-Velay in sunny France. I grew up in a large, close-knit family. These days I’m a rural Co. Meath-based Mum of two, with a passion for nature, and making and sharing my art and crafts. I began to knit and crochet at the age of 6, learning from my mother – my teacher and inspiration. A professional seamstress, my Mum was really creative, knitting, crochet, painting, cardboard furniture… yes that’s a thing! When I was around 15 years old, we discovered polymer clay while in a craft shop and gave that a go. I really loved all the possibilities it offered for jewellery. We got ourselves some material, and a book for techniques and got started. I came to Ireland, had my first child and found myself knitting little hats, tops, booties for her, with friends and family encouraging me to make them for a wider audience. I did this for a little while, until my Mum was diagnosed, and then I stopped. During lockdown I started it again as I had more time and felt closer to my Mum that way. I’m inspired each and every day by the world around me, colours, textures and people. Most of all, I love to share my inspiration with others; be it creating for them or teaching my craft!

Thomp2 Socks

My name is Finbar Barry and I would like to introduce you to my son Thomas. Thomas was born with Downs Syndrome as well as a host of other serious illnesses ie, Perthes Disease, Hirschsprung Disease, Heart Murmur, Under-active Thyroid, Hiatus Hernia, stomach Re-flux. Thomas was the youngest person in Ireland to have a total hip replacement. As a child he was always sick and spent many months each year in hospital for various illnesses. When he reached the age of about 14 years old he was constantly telling me he was going to get himself a job and to make a lunch for him. I suppose he got the idea of going to work from watching his older brothers and myself going out to work, so he thought he would do the same. His Mother and I would humor him each time he brought up the subject by saying ‘O yes Thomas you will get a job maybe next year’.   In reality Thomas could never hold down a regular type of job due to his intellectual and physical disabilities, but this had no effect on his creative desire to express his inner self. Those who know Thomas know when he makes up his mind about something he is very determined to see it through.     I have been looking at some options over the years in the hope to provide some way for Thomas to feel like he can have a job just like everybody else (bearing in mind his disabilities) and the answer was staring me in the face, Thomas has always played with socks, he would put one sock into the other and swings them round his fingers for hours he is quite an expert with it after many years of practice. He never played much with toys in his early childhood but would go nowhere without his socks, some children get comfort from a teddy with Thomas it was always the socks,  .   So we are launching Thomas’s Trendy Socks an  online business for Thomas selling socks the things he loves most, I felt this is something Thomas could manage with the help of family members and of course your support. The name of his company is called Thomp2, because when Thomas signs his name it looks like Thomp2 which is something he can identify with as you can see in the logo. Please see our range of Trendy socks and also socks in support of Downs Syndrome and Autism awareness. We have pledged to give 5% of any profits to the St. John of Gods organisation who have cared for Thomas for many years. My name is Michelle, I live in Rathfarnham and I have a passion for making jewellery.  I especially love using glass seed beads and wire wrapping in my pieces I am registered with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and proud to be part of their Made Local campaign. Made by Michelle is delighted to have been accepted onto the Crafting Europe Business Course 2022 which is jointly run in Ireland by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and TUS (Technological University of the Shannon).  There were a lot of applications for this course and there were only 25 places. I hope you like my pieces and I would love you to contact me if you have any questions or, if you would like something custom made. My aim is for whomever is wearing the piece(s) to love the colour and texture and to feel special and unique. I am a Reiki & Seichem Master and I love crystals and natural semi-precious stones. Hello, My Name is Carol and I make all sorts of hand crafted goods – including these 100% wool needle felted gifts, each one completely unique and take hours to make. The little robins make an ideal “In memory of” gift, while the other little characters feature some of the cutest wildlife Ireland has to offer – including our special Irish hare. My background is as a professional graphic designer and artist – some of my work adorns the streets of Dublin on permanent display.
