Hi everyone, my name is Linda and I’m the owner and creator of LS DESIGNS.  I started crocheting as a pastime during the first lockdown of the pandemic in 2020 and my passion for it just grew and grew!! It didn’t take long before my house was overloaded with wool and crochet toys and hats.  Please get in touch if there is anything you see that you might like in a different colour or size and I will do my best to accommodate you!   I am a self-taught artist who works in Oils but occasionally dabbles in acrylic abstract art.  I started painting around 5 years ago as a means to manage chronic pain due to a progressive autoimmune disorder. I love to lose myself in the creative flow. It is such a wonderful escape! My art is mainly of Irish seascapes and landscapes.  Having being reared in Co Donegal but living in Cork for over 30 years I have a never ending supply of inspiration from our Wild Atlantic Ocean and our ever changing skies, you never know what you will get from one day to another.  Being mainly confined to short journey’s and walks I now rely on memory and the wonderful photographs posted on line by amazing photographers who have given me permission to take inspiration from their work.  Ireland has abundant inspiration from it’s Coastline to small secluded and abandoned cottages hidden in our mountains and hills.  Flowers, boats, expressive skies and an everchanging sea will keep me inspired for as long as I am able to paint.

Textile Memories

Hello, I'm Isabelle, textile artist and tutor based in Cork. I believe my love for needlework and textiles reside in the beauty of craftmanship, and also their organic sense of warmth, a homely feeling, the simplicity of a slower life. Inspired by this idea, I like to represent peaceful and familiar places or moments in time, special memories... I make textured pieces of layered reclaimed fabrics, using fabric painting, appliques and free motion embroidery to embellish them. I also enjoy the meditative and free process of slow-stitching to create hand-stitched fabric collages, which I like to use to introduce people to the joy and creativity of stitching. I hope my pieces and workshops will delight and inspire you to truly appreciate the creative, soothing and versatile elements that textile art provides.

Hello there, My name is David Fleming and I am a self thought craftsman. I have a passion for Copper Weaving. I started my journey 3 years ago when I sustained a shoulder injury and was unable to work. I found some left over copper and knew it  could be epurposed into something beautiful.   I have made dozens of various handmade Copper pieces including Roses and most popular bonsai trees.   I have now started making one of a kind handcrafted clocks using Irish Spalted beech wood, with a quartz clock mechanism. Each Item made takes hours and are entirely unique handmade pieces. I am excited to begin to share my handmade products and look forward to bringing joy to your home.
